Hi there! Welcome back to the monthly newsletter, where I hope to keep you in touch with what’s happening now that I have given up the post of Scribe (now no deadlines to meet).
First I’ll start off with the AGM, where a new committee was ‘selected’, posts still to be filled are, Chairman, Runs Sec. and Scribe. Applicants (Volunteers) for these posts would be gratefully appreciated.

Because the landlord of The Carbrook is selling up, for the time being we will have to suck it and see about the venue until we get to know the new owners and find out their commitments. At the moment we have heard they want to carry on as normal so we will have to keep an open mind.
Two of the major events for our year have been given dates,
They are, Concours Night-----June 16th 2010
Christmas Dinner—December 9th 2010
Other events will be listed as they are obtained.
Two events that are running throughout the year are the Yorkshire Rose Challenge which you will find posted in the appropriate section of the web site and also Sheffield Bikers Challenge which because she won it last year has been set by our own Nichola. So why not down load them both and fit in as many as you can on combined runs.
Because of the very bad weather during January not many bike runs have been made, one exception was a trip to Fridaythorpe, Flamborough and Bridlington by myself and Tim to do some of Nichola’s challenge (I should have got my finger out in setting the YR challenge and we could have done a few more) in which we covered 190mls in very cold and damp weather.
