Welcome to the Yorkshire Rose Triumph Owners Motor Cycle Club |
|||
The YRTOMCC (Yorkshire Rose Triumph Owners Motor Cycle Club) is a branch of the larger TOMCC. (Triumph Owners Motor Cycle Club). TOMCC was formed in 1949 by a group of Triumph enthusiasts from around South London, this club soon grew into the UK's nationally recognised "Triumph Owners Motor Cycle Club". There are now 35 TOMCC branches throughout the United Kingdom, which we are proud to be associated with. The Yorkshire Rose branch was formed over 20 years ago, currently has around 200 members and is still growing. Our branch benefits from both male and female Triumph enthusiasts with excellent and pristine examples of the Triumph brand. Our bikes range from post war classics ("Meriden's") to the present day models ("Hinckleys"). Our members vary in age from the young to the not so young Triumph enthusiasts. Although YRTOMCC is a Yorkshire based branch, we also have active members from Lincolnshire and Derbyshire and encourage new members from other neighbouring counties. There are many Triumph Owners Motor Cycle Clubs around the world and we have close ties with the New Zealand TOMCC, with who we share our On-Line Forum. The New Zealand Chapters are from all across New Zealand these include: Northland, Auckland, Waikato/Bay of Plenty, Central Plateau, Hawkes Bay, Wanganui, Canterbury and Otago Chapters (Click here for a map of New Zealand). The Yorkshire Rose TOMCC hold a full and comprehensive Events Diary, with most weekends occupied by organised visits to bike shows, steam shows and vintage vehicle meetings. In between these there are also our regular club ride outs. We hold regular Branch Meeting at Carbrook Hall, Sheffield , Our midweek meeting usually comprises of a ride out to biker friendly hostelries within a 50 miles radius of Sheffield, whereas our week-end ride outs are around 100 - 200 mile round trips. Help, advice and expertise is also on hand for any problems or technical queries from the knowledge base of our members, some who have owned Triumphs for over 40 years. We also have an On-Line Forum where questions can be posted to a wider audience. We currently have On-Line Forum members from New Zealand and America. 2008 sees the resurection of our branch yorkshire rose Challenge. Steve has devised various rides out, in all the regions of yorkshire . Take your camera with you and have a go! Please note: The views expressed on this website, particularly the newsletters and on-line forum, are those of the individuals and not necessarily those of the Yorkshire Rose branch of the TOMCC |
