| The summer camping weekend up at Dent seems to have been a success, with around thirteen people attending. The runs were not as expected due to the rather inclement weather but a couple of breweries were visited around the Dent Dale area (check on Richard's brewery challenge in the events section) with also Devil's Bridge and the Ribble Head viaduct being visited. Good food was also partaken at some of the local hostelries and the campsite was also well recommended , all in all, a very good weekend. Next on the list was our Concours night, which was blessed with good weather. The turn-out this year was not as big as last year but over 100 bikes turned up on the night. This made things not so crowded with plenty of room around the bikes. The winners were:- Pre 50's-------------------D. Kirk----------------Matchless 50's------------------------J. Storey-------------Triumph 110 60's------------------------G. Holloway---------Bonneville T120 70's------------------------M. Hobson-----------Honda CBX1000 80'S to 99----------------A. Thrower-----------Triumph T140 99 to 2011---------------M. Oates--------------Harley XR Best Triumph in show--D. Holmes------------Bonneville T120R Many thanks to all who brought their bikes along and those who came along to support us, to all our sponsors, the staff of the Carbrook, specially the lad who took over the microphone (you see, big mouth me wasn't there). Also thanks to all club members who just got stuck in and got on with running the show with extra special thanks to the ladies who took on the thankless job of selling raffle tickets. WELL DONE TO EVERYONE for making this another successful Concours night, many, many thanks to you all. The following Monday several members entered or attended the Sheffield & Hallamshire motor evening at Hope Valley (not a steamer in sight) and had a very good beginning to the evening, good thinking to you who left early and commiserations to those who were caught out by the downpour on the way home. Sorry but I've got to mention the last show, which was a STEAM show at Clumber Park where some of us had, believe it or not, a very enjoyable weekend showing our bikes (some of you may have done the same at the Sheffield STEAM show also, so good luck to you too). Many thanks also to Chairman Tim for relaying details of some of the events to me. If no one tells me about them, I can't write about them. Keep the information coming and safe riding. GLOVEBOX
