Mid March & the weather is sh*te!! So what have we been doing? A few had a brief run to Team Roberts so Fiery 1 could try out a ‘new’ Bonneville. She liked it & consequently the 5TA has gone to make room for this.

PeterfromBrid has had his fancy touched by the idea of owning one of Meridens mighty T150’s. He, Animal & I viewed a prospective one that turned out to be a definite money pit but Animal spotted one on ebay & now PfromB is one very happy Trident owner!!

Talking of Mighty Ones Animal has fired his up after a long lay up. We should catch the odd brief glimpse of him & he is out & about – some say there’s more chance of seeing a Dodo bird as they were much slower!!

Whilst on the subject of T150’s Norman (to his friends) has completed my head & lightened my wallet in the process. This is now fitted & after a short run just to warm her up she feels very willing indeed. Club nights have been well attended with a prospective new member & another definite – well, re-joined after some years absence.

We have heard of a disturbing tale that 2 guys who are in the Durham area? Anyway, they are Hinkley riders but have apparently received letters stating they are no longer welcome in the local TOMCC as it’s a Meriden club only. This is as yet un-confirmed but it’s very disturbing none the less.

By the time you read this, quite a few of us will have been to the Prees Truckstop for the Big Brekkie. I will divulge all in the next issue!!

Rhyl is coming up shortly & again, quite a few of us are going & will again attempt to be the last in the bar. York Rose heavy drinkers? not us yer honour – hic!! Keep MC away from windows & wheelie bins fer gawds sake!!!

Glovebox has raised a worrying private members bill in which any motorcycle NOT being registered with the DVLA could be confiscated & destroyed. Hard to comprehend that some MP’s believe that this is the way to go to combat young kids riding on pavements on their mini moto’s. Just shows you how out of touch these prats are.

Ok, guess that’s it from me. Make a sacrifice, pray or whatever it is you do to your weather Gods. We need some nice, dry & preferably warm days now after a bloody sodden winter!!
