Apologies for missing the deadlines for both previous reports. The only excuses I can offer are that work is encroaching on my home life (something I said I would never allow) & that my own memory is somewhat lacking! I would have thought that the May report would have been included at the absence of any other but hey, what do I know. I can understand any ones frustration & will understandably step down should anyone else wish to do the reporting. This report will differ slightly from the one that (hopefully) makes it into Nacelle this month.

Bananaman held a run on the 17 June but only a few turned up. I am aware you put a lot of effort into this, sorry you weren’t better supported.

So by missing my reports, few people would have been aware of our Concours Night but having said that, we had an excellent turn out. The weather Gods where kind to us. All our sponsors came up trumps with prizes with two of them attending – Rob Reaney & Norman Hyde. I must comment that their support is greatly appreciated & Norman was accosted by many folk who wished to ‘pick his brains’. Again we had some fabulous bikes turn up & Norman did the official bit presenting the trophies. Also nice to see members of the Derby branch – don’t forget to remind us when yours is! The quality of bikes was excellent & although I didn’t get the chance to scrutinise as I would have wished, all the winners bikes were worthy ones.

Thanks go to Keith for arranging the trophies & assisting the PA. Barry (the banned – aka Captain Chaos) for sorting or not the parking arrangements, Dennis m/c registrar, Stig general dogsbody & all other members who lent a hand of whom I’ve failed to mention.

Special thanks to the ‘Gals’ for coercing people to part with their cash!!

Extra special thanks to Anne for the amazing 25th anniversary cake – it was superb!

Before I go well done Glovebox for getting back on your feet, no doubt you’ll soon be back in the saddle. By the way, I’ve found a way to shut him up…………stick a microphone under his nose!!
