Another month passes by & what have we all been doing? It has been rather quiet & I know some of us have been firmly ensconced in our sheds/garages doing what comes naturally to our ‘older’ steeds!!

Now you might think it been a run free period – wrong. MC, Fiery One & Bananaman had a run to the Derby Concours & had fine weather & thoroughly enjoyed it. Unfortunately, no one else dared venture out including myself although in my defence yer honour, the T150 has sprung a leak!! Thanks go to the Derby branch for a good event.

Wed 14th Feb – Easy was asked if she knew anyone who could take a virtually blind ex-biker Martin for a run as a 40th birthday prezzie. In stepped Stuart from NABD & this was set up. Keith led the run, Stig provided the gear & the group were followed by a contingent from York Rose. Stuart took him on his pillion with instructions to ‘thump me in the ribs if you want to go faster’. Now this chap was due to go in hospital 2 days after for a 50/50 op which would either improve his sight or leave him totally sightless. They had a ‘spirited’ run & Martin loved every minute of it ending up at his house where his wife was in tears when she say the look of shear joy on his face. Many, many thanks to Stuart for agreeing to this & well done to all of you who took part. Easy knows Martins wife & she said ‘its something we will always remember, I don’t know how to thank you all’.

So, what else have we been up to?? dunno really as I have to hold my hand up & admit to not attending any meetings – work & other commitments I’m afraid. I’ve been told that our new chairman Bananaman has settled into the role with ease, no surprise there as I knew he would.

Nice to see some ‘new faces’ on our website this adding to the usual activity from our regulars! I will eventually make my way to Animals abode & then (hopefully) be able to assist with updating our site.

Oh, did I mention my T150’s leak?? Its from a pushrod but I’m not going to do anything with this as I’m waiting for my other head to come back from Norman (to his friends) Hyde’s establishment.

Moving onwards & upwards, future runs are; Easter Egg Run to Sheff Childrens Hospital – Sat 24th March. Set off from Police Ops Centre off Europa Link at 10am. £2/person contact is PC Jon Martin 01142202966.

We then have Barrys famous (in-famous??!!) Derbyshire Run – Sunday March 25th setting off from Carbrook at 10am.
