Its that time of year when things have quietened down somewhat so you’ll be relieved to know I’m not going to ramble on. Some of us are having a weekend away taking in the National Motorcycle Museum so a full report on that next month. As many of our members also run Hinkley models we’ve moved away from the traditional winter re-builds. I know a few of us are busy tidying our mounts up & some of us are attempting to make headway with projects!! Some members had a trip to the show at Stafford & I know were pleased with their purchases.

Fiery One has added another steed to her stable that being a S##uki. I do believe she intends to take her advanced on this so best of luck.

Animal has been having some difficulties with his pc (some may say he’s never been pc but not I mate!). It appears these ‘difficulties’ have been caused by his son who has developed an interest in…………must be tactfull here……..certain sites on the internet that specialise in diverse mating rituals!! I believe he is getting close to being ‘back on line’ although the aforementioned son will find it difficult to operate a keyboard with his hands in plaster!!!!!

The Landmark Challenge entries are in & impressive is the amount of work gone in to the presentation of them – well done chaps. Oh, I must also thanks ASG who did a sterling job in setting the challenge – thankyou!!

Its nice to report that we have more prospective/new members attending our club nights. Must be a sign we’re doing something right.

No runs as such to relate with the weather putting paid to a planned midweek outing although I may have a Dec one to report on next time.

Our website is becoming busier which probably reflects the time of year. Some interesting technical questions of which I hope to see the results of our answers as in bikes on the road.

Our AGM will be upon us early in the new year. The winners of the Landmark will be announced & no doubt given a huge reward for their efforts!! Also winners of the Clubman of the Year (should that be club person??!!) & the Betty Grindle Memorial Bowl will be announced. The agenda could prove to be a contentious one with one member of the committee determined to stand down for ‘younger blood’ – I could say it’d be difficult to find anyone older but I won’t!! A major issue will be to decide about our Concours/25th Anniversary. It’ll be held at the Carbrook on Wed 17 Jan with an 8pm kick off. If you have any views/issues then get down & air them, its your branch.

It wouldn’t be the same if I didn’t mention a certain ‘bike’ I’m trying to build now would it?? All I will say is that the can is mounted, the seat & base altered, the shock mounts changed but it does look pretty good if I say so myself. I just have the rest of the exhaust system to make now!!
