| Another month & as I write, its still raining. We have had some dry days just not nearly enough!! Whats been going on then……..Animal is now back 'on the road' so watch out world. If you happen to catch a glimpse of a T150 going rather quickly it will more than likely be him wearing an inane grin. Congrats go to Dennis who has completed the Route 66 although his alternator packed up. You'll have nearly re-built that bugger over there!! We've had some new members turn up both for the club nights & runs. Talking of which I should mention Barry the Banned famous (infamous!!??) Derbyshire run. 10 bikes (all Hinkleys) set off on a not too promising day for a feast of A roads & dual carriageways in abundance - that's Barry's term for them as they did have grass strips down the centre! Up hill, down dale & cross country with many stops for beverages & grub - no fords Barry?? No one got lost (unusual) with the rain holding off until 1/2hr from Sheffield. I've to pass on thanks to Barry for a very enjoyable run. Now for Rhyll. Mystery Collector (900 Trophy) , Stig (Legend), Barry (Bonneville) & I set off Fri pm - Animal made his own rather rapid way there! MC & Stig were proudly sporting there new Sat Navs & proclaimed to be able to get us there 'no problem' - off we went. We had a good run but got a little 'lost' as the Sat Navs were trying to take us onto motorways etc. Barry disappeared outside Chester to arrive at Rhyl 1/2hr after we did - so he got the 'master' bedroom (the lounge!). My clutch cable bust just as I was parking the bike up but I always carry a spare. As ever the AGM brought up some contentious issues & not all resolved as yet. Animal was voted in as HQ Secretary so congrats go to him & I'm sure he'll do a stirling job. Peterfrombrid & Peternik were there also & on Sat night Roger & Pete turned up. Fred & Sylvia were 'struttin their stuff' whilst we attempted to drink the bar dry. Our club were the last to vacate the bar & one of us who shall remain nameless was rather 'poorly' later on!! (our website reveals all). A great weekend & certainly worth attending in future. Easy & I should be holding our annual BBQ w/end shortly & I will alert you as to when. All club members will be more than welcome to attend. Keiths been having problems with his Hinkley Trident missing intermittently but has it sorted now. I've been making progress on the Nourish with the engine in the frame & the primary drive/alternator finally bottled up. I must admit to setting fire to my lathe in the process. Don't ask how or why but it took a fire extinguisher to put it out!! Keep an eye on our website for info on runs etc. Now where's the sun??............... Ttfn Rubbermick
