About 25 people attended the Christmas dinner and Disco at the Grange Golf Club and the reports were that this went down pretty well, the food was better and the Disco better than the sequence dancing of previous years (I can’t understand this, how could it be so good when I wasn’t there? – I was in France again for my grandson’s birthday – I'd better get a life). Even though everything went down well, the concensus of opinion was that it’s time for a change! Any suggestions to be forwarded to the committee (it may have changed after the AGM.) for consideration, not forgetting that you have to book early nowadays, so get them in soon.

One piece of events news (bad) available at this moment is that the R.N.L.I. show in Endcliffe Park has been cancelled because the Water board is digging the park up and no other venue is available!

At the time of writing this report, it’s about minus four degrees, everything is iced up solid and there’s talk of a white Christmas, so if you have to use your bike please drive safely

One more thing before we go off and get stewed for the duration of the festive season. You will notice in your latest 'Nacelle', a booking form for the AGM weekend in Rhyl to be held on the second weekend in May.

It took a lot of effort on various members parts to get this event rolling, and once again Sylvia has put her heart and soul into getting the thing organised.

Let's not let them down and put in a good turn out from Yorkshire Rose. My booking form is already in the post (but don't let my presence put you off, I'm sure there will be someone there for you to get on with)
